Barbecues with Relish has been part of the local food scene for over 30 years now, growing from a small family business into a name people actually recognise. It all started as Christopher Anthony Catering, founded by Chris Bowden, who wanted to do event catering properly. Through a lot of graft and a genuine love of good food, the business built a reputation for excellent wedding and event catering across the region.
In 2009 we rebranded as Relish, reflecting where our style and interests had moved to. A couple of years later, Barbecues with Relish launched as its own outdoor catering arm, focused entirely on getting barbecue catering right — slow-cooked meats, proper sides, relaxed al fresco dining.
By 2013 we’d expanded further with Relish Equipment Hire, covering everything from crockery and cutlery to bar setups and refrigeration. It means clients get one properly managed event, start to finish, rather than juggling different suppliers.
